The Red Stag Foundation for the Arts

Mission Statement

To expand access to live theatre and arts education for youth across Southwest Virginia by bringing engaging performances, workshops, and creative experiences directly to schools and communities, removing financial and geographic barriers so every student has the opportunity to experience the arts.

Vision Statement

To build a region where every young person — regardless of location or resources — can see themselves reflected in the arts, develop creativity and confidence, and grow through meaningful connections to live performance and storytelling.

Broadway Bound Youth Theatre: A program of the Red Stag Foundation for the Arts

Broadway Bound is the youth theatre program of the Red Stag Foundation for the Arts, designed to introduce students to the excitement and craft of live theatre. Through hands-on classes and productions, participants explore acting, singing, dancing, and the many elements that bring a production to life, including costumes, sets, lighting, and stage management.

Students learn in a working theatre environment and gain real experience both onstage and behind the scenes. The program also develops children’s theatre productions that can be performed for schools and community audiences throughout the region.

Broadway Bound is built to be a welcoming place where young people can build confidence, creativity, and teamwork while discovering the magic of live performance.
