Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre is a family owned and operated dinner theatre in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Southwest Virginia. Themed for the Sutphin family’s German heritage, the Wohlfahrt Haus is an all-encompassing entertainment venue producing musicals, plays, concerts, and other special events. Founded by Peggy Sutphin in 1999, the theatre was purchased in 2025 and is now operated by Dr. Amanda Brewer-Lord and her family, with the mission of keeping Peggy’s vision and mission alive: to bring the arts, good food, and theatre to the people of Southwest Virginia. The theatre remains unique in its service to its patrons by offering a four-course meal cooked and plated in our kitchen and served at the table by a dedicated waitstaff. Peggy always viewed the Wohlfahrt Haus like a family, and we invite you to become part of that family through your patronage. When you’re at the Haus, you are home!
